Living Portraits of Seven Women Mystics
Carol Lee Flinders
This book deserves to be a classic. An engrossing and relevant portrait of seven different Christian women mystics, the book is a real page-turner. It’s one of the few books where, when you’ve reached the final page, you’re disappointed. You’re left wanting more. Carol Flinders is a long-time student of Eknath Easwaran and a teacher in his tradition; she’s also the coauthor of the vegetarian classic, Laurel’s Kitchen. The mystics she discusses—from Clare of Assisi in the Middle Ages to Thérèse of Lisieux in the nineteenth century—are brought to life in a real and fresh way.
